Many happy returns dear Tara and a wonderful Birthday wish for you - all the way from the land of OZ, with a quick detour through Switzerland's alpine range... this could be right up your alley [?] if only your beloved RV gets a chance to make it up those hills ? oh boy... and then there is a big ocean to cross first... well, it was a thought and anything is possible in my imagination :-P

I have no idea whereabouts you and Bill, are currently cruising along ? [because I've been lately very busy, on & off, and absent from Rendo] but I tried to interest you both, with a trip to Europe ? even if it's only with a photo, especially after a visit and having experienced the Swiss landscape in 2014, which left such a big impression on me, it is so breathtakingly beautiful and so memorable - I'd never forgotten it, [how could I ? thanks goes to my amazing hosts: Priska [aksirp] & family]. So here is a little slice of my adventurous trip, from eons ago -or so it seems-. and I felt I wanted to share it with everybody here at Rendo, but mainly with someone special, who is so familiar with travelling - namely you Tara, hope you enjoy the ride...

Oh, I like this Brigitte and I know Tara will too! I'll leave it for her to tell you where we are. The beautiful mirrored lake above with its greenish cast tells me this is a lake fed by glacial runoff...a scene that we have here in the State of Washington too. Glad to see you back...of course I am only a little ahead of you having just returned to Rendo about a month ago after some months absence.

Oh thank you, dearest BeeBee! This is just beautiful! I would love to be in such a place. This is a wonderful early birthday gift! It will carry me through all day until it's tomorrow here. 😁 I have no idea when May 11th starts "down under," but I love it that you always kick off my birthday celebration with a bang.
We are back in our little home in Washington State, having been all over the country in the past month. It was a good trip, but it's so nice to be home!

Amazing what a FANTASTIC place, and photo, dear Brigitte. It's like a paradise, filled with the most exquisite colours and reflections. The compo is great, and I just love that boat. I imagine Bill and Tara are sitting in it

I was sure I'd commented on this---but I didn't. It's a beautiful shimmering scene, with such striking detail in the trees (back and in front), on that little boat, and in the reflections in the water. The colors are to die for, esp that deep blue green in the far water, next to that yellow green on the grass behind it. The mass of trees in the background is like a huge shag carpet. And the whole feels opulent and intimate, at the same time. (The 'intimate' part comes from your crop, which puts us right into the heart of the shot.) If you were inspired by Priska, you were inspired by one of the best. Beautiful piece, and a beautiful dedi---and thoughts and wishes---for Tara.
