My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

powerful message and image. Let's hope that this young man takes these words to heart and spreads the message to one and all

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me. ~ Emily Dickinson, 1830 - 1886
It's funny how a picture can trigger a memory. It seems Dickinson's little bird is having a rough time lately.
This is an extremely powerful image. Let's hope his future is better than our present.

Fifty years already! This image says even more than the quote, and I love Mark's poem memory

Superb capture Tara. God bless.

Wonderful photo, Tara! Such a shame that this kind of wisdom can be carved into a stone edifice, but not into our hearts as a species.
