Description
Hi,
Returned from a blazing hot and perfect photo weather Duxford show.. Bad news? My tele lens packed up.... So, NO photos! Well, no airborne photos anyway.. Slightly annoyed does not even cover how I feel..
Anyway, Apache Pyro display missed (again,), Typhoon show that I felt the heat of the afterburners from, and Sea Vixen missed aside..... This MiG15 flew in from Norway where its looked after by the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron, its in the marking of Yuri Gagarin, who was a Mig pilot on Norwegian border before being thrown into the history books and space..
New lens ordered, (ouch!!!!!), needed for next show on Sunday! Navy Day Shuttleworth, luckily Sea Vixen is there too.. Two Wasp Helo's and a Lynx.. Plus new Wildcat (first for me).
And yes, I got sunburn lol

Wore my MIG-17 t-shirt walking about this morning. Really silent and still all the way.

Great capture of this wicked aircraft - I hope the sunburn isn't too bad

Great capture. Trainer version. Bummer about the lens; thought I'd just burned up my camera today -- nothing but white blurs in the viewer. Fortunately it was just a serious scrambling of my settings while I was trying to get it out of the case.

Beautiful plane and photo! Watch out for the sunshine - you are fair skinned Englishman for sure.

Nice one Rob. This one appears to have a back seat for training purposes. Isn't the engine a take-off on an early Rolls-Royce "Nene" jet engine?
