Description

Twice a year the temperatures are right to leave the door open at night without setting off the heater or the air condition. This is usually late March until early May and again late October until early December. The screen prevents people to look inside as long as the lights are off inside the house. This picture was taken on 7 May 2017, Sig... A few weather facts. On May 31 was the first day with a daily high of 100 F (based on the last 25 years). The average daily high will stay above 100 F until mid-September and for about 3 weeks during July it will reach 107 F. May and June are the driest months. This year in May we had 0.01 inch of precipitation (normal is 0.04 inches). Since the beginning of the year we had 2.41 inches of precipitation. Last but not least I will be heading for a cooler and damper climate - New Zealand!!!

Super shot.

Like I have said before, I can't understand why anyone would live there, unless their work requires it.

Checked the temps in New Zealand. At 09:45 Monday (they are 19 hrs. ahead of AZ) they ranged from 52 F at Auckland (North Island) to 31 F in Dunedin (South Island). Wellington and Christchurch are somewhere in-between. In Phoenix at 14:45 it is 102 F.

Hey! I've been there! :)

That's a terrific picture. I love the way the light comes in through the screen and the blinds. Good eye!

I'm looking forward to your trip to NZ. Thanks for the map and the itinerary. It will be fun to follow along with you! :)

A door in the shade that has a lot of things to say, from what I've just read ! I like the atmosphere you've captured here. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll have brought back from NZ, as pictures. Lucky you !
