Description
(Please zoom, it's big!)
I took an old photo, and stuck it over my "sound processor" image (ie, my last image), and wreaked havoc.
There's no hidden meaning or cryptic whatevers in these 'data paintings', so truly, don't torture yourself trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing---even I don't know what the hell I'm doing: I'm just playing, blending, messing up...hope you like it. (I discovered I love 'data art'. I love visualizing data! I think I was a bar graph in my last life...)

A personal note:
I've never been slower at commenting since I came here in 2008...It's crazy, because It's so fulfilling for me to spend an hour or more in your galleries, and 'soak you in'. But I'm moving like a snail these days...Just know that I'm halfway through, and I promise I'll get to you all. Thanks for your patience, if you thought I left for Alpha Centauri. (The closest star.) I didn't. I'm here, and I'll get to all of you.
(Btw, I've been to Alpha Centauri, and it's no great shakes. It's hot as all hell, and a cup of coffee is through the freakin' roof. Import costs, the usual stuff...)
Thanks for your support---it means the world to me!
A wonderful Friday to you all

The method of approach to this work is really interesting, an exaggeration of the concept of contamination. Contamination according to me is one of the great expressive possibilities of art for the present and for the future. Your work is absolutely creative and proactive.

Great at full size, Mark. A remarkable transformation.

the image would make one hell of a framed art that I'd hang in my office. Your narrative is a delight to read and reread just because it is so much fun to see how you, as a wordsmith, conjoin the words to bring a smile to our face in the wee hours of the morning while at the same time test our reflexes in seeing how many of us DO NOT spray coffee, earth style, on our keyboards and monitors when we peruse those same words.
it is a joy to not only read your uploads, seeing a glimpse of your mind, but the sonnets you leave when you view our feeble attempts at art

This confirms what I already guessed, Mark. You are both a genius and a nutter.

For some inexplicable reason, Renderosity erased several sentences as I was typing before I had a chance to post a comment. Poof, gone, just like that. All of my clever narrative lost in cyberspace. I'm too far behind in my comments to repeat it, so I'll just leave you with a "colorful brilliant messing around salmagundi of whatever, well done."

Wonderful Mark. Like the way this turned out. Please take care my friend thinking of you. Cheers with a smile.

Well this certainly one mother of a board if I do say so myself (and I just did). The effect here is that of a visual representation of a radio dial. As one moves across the bandwidth one passes through a whole kaleidoscope of voices, music and static. And the images are not limited to terrestrial radio. There is the radio telescope to consider. A worthy companion to your off-world stories. As Andrea said, a genius and a nutter.

Fascinating. It looks like Vulcan art. And that's a good thing.

Dang nab my friend, what a brilliant image and collage of images you've blended together magnificently Mark. I think my mother board does things like this before it crashes running a tough render in poser. Hope things are well. Thanks for your time and comments my friend.
Fave/like.

sigh Don't you just love Andrea? A stunningly accurate synopsis of your character in two words. I would add "deeply compassionate and loving," but it doesn't have the same pithy ring.
These flights of fancy you do, with the text and layers, are always at the top of my list of "Stuff I Want To Look At Forever." I know there's really nothing there, and I don't try to find it, but it's SO satisfying to wallow around in it and look anyway!

Well, I am sure that your rendering of brain activity (thinking "mind" here) is a lot more fanciful than what doctors see in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data plus electrical activity gathered from EEG (electroencephalograph) data. But one way or the other, I love your depiction...talk about a world of concrete, manmade and nature-made objects layered over by a colorful, swirling world of French-curved lines and mysterious high-tech phrases. If the cat is still in there, this is the cat's meow! Splendiferous!!

Well, I don't know how you managed to get a peek inside my mind's processor, but I'm certain this is an accurate representation of what it looks like! Very cool image, Mark!
Hey, don't feel bad - being behind several days on comments has become SOP here.... I'm hoping to change that soon, now that I'm around 80% through all the updates and changes here at the Lair.
Now, are you sure that was coffee and not covfefe? I hear that's a rather unique and expensive brew.....

Fantastically well done !!!

Hi Mark, I love this to re-discover, as it were from wavelength to wavelength, from landscape to some sort of strategy in line and perspective. Haha, what the hell for technical art is interwoven here? Thank you for sending the link, you made me happy and please take all the time you need. That's what I try to do, by pushing hard against my sense of guilt.

ARGH!! What will the aliens do, after they are finnished with all their measurments of our planet this way. They must have had help from Earth Beings, as I see, must of the writings are in Earth letters. Maybe they are trying to make a similar planet on Mars? What ever, this is a fantastic piece of art and I love it..... and I also love Andreas comments
