Description
2017 Duxford Festival (lens broke - no air shots), but it should be noted that this shot of the de Havilland DH 88 'Grosvener House' was the first time since its restoration it has flow outside Old Warden (The Shuttleworth Collection). Such is the value and rarity of this, it is treated with extreme care. It should also be noted, its louder than a Mustang! Really, I'm not joking..
Its also booked at Flying Legends.. But I'm more likely to see it next at Shuttleworth's Race Day event.
Akvis on the look....

Oh, man! Nice to see and hear from you again. What a bummer, lens broke. Just how did THAT happen? Some things I just can't figure out. Thanks for the info on this very rare bird. With 2 engines I understand louder then a Mustang. Glad you could get to Duxford so you can add to your collection. Keep up the good work!
My rat-ing - 6 rats, all happy!

A real classics out from the time when the air was burning with the smell of adventure, when airplanes and air races where something a lot of people where attracted to. Nowadays so much is regulated, limited and on almost every air meeting I know, there are people, and newspapers who afterwards question the sense and the worth of such events... What a poor generation we are...

I haven't heard of any air shows around my area. Must be fun to watch

Your efforts in keeping the context of British production is exemplary.

Sleek from the old days of air racing I presume. Neat shot Rob.

Excellent POV and detail in this one. Like a racer from the pylon days of the 1930s.
