Description

While I was hiding out at my favorite little beach, I decided to try for some of these very tiny crabs. These guys are no larger than my finger nail. Some as small as the nail on my little finger. This, however, does not stop them from being very aggressive in guarding their stuff. This guy was guarding his new treasure, the shell. A macro lens would have been good here.

Perhaps waiting for the real occupant to stick its nose out and become dinner for the crab! I recall sitting fascinated by these little critters and their behavior as a child, Am far from a beach now, so all I can enjoy is what comes on the Internet. Thanks for the post - really appreciated!
