What a fabulous display this photo makes, Bill. So much to discover, like modern art in an antique shop. I have no idea how you fixed this, especially with the two shadows on the floor from two people.

Pure reflections...the store entrance has long windows on the left and right which are at different angles from the street-side glass.

I try to avoid reflections when shooting antique stores from outside, but you embraced them and made an interesting photo

Get me in there!
I love the reflections, but I also need to see more of the STUFF, maybe in another picture!

This is just brilliant. I'm a bit envious of all the layers you got in your shot. I liked mine, but I LOVE yours! The brick sidewalk with your alien shadows is the icing on the cake. It was fun to compare our pictures to try and identify what we were looking at. Thank heaven for that round corner room on the building across the street! LOL! I know you don't generally look for things like this, but maybe you should do it more often! This is an outstanding image. I love it that some people seem to think it's a montage. That means you got enough that it doesn't seem real. Reflections are so cool! :) This makes me want to go back to Staunton and stand in that deep doorway all day, watching the light change and taking a million pictures. A thoroughly engaging shot. Perfection!

I have to agree with Tara even though she is obviously biased. This really is a superb effort, Bill. It looks like they have a car for sale near the far wall. And just a bit of mystery is provided by the twin shadows cast by unseen strollers.

Love the photo, Bill! Lots of things to see here.. And I could spend hours exploring these places.

When this went up, I had a hard time discerning what was 'real' and what was reflection. I STILL have that hard time, which means that you succeeded in getting the strange magic of reflection shots. Even your explanation (below Jacomina's comment) doesn't remove the sense that several layers of reality have converged on this shot. I can't 'parse' it: It just is a melange. And terrific detail, both physical and reflection...incl those plates in the background, the cars, the little table with dishes, the "Queen City" sign, that wonderful corner of the shop across the street, etc. even the illusion that there's a glass table in the middle, which there isn't; an intruding walkway, etc. Well, you made a mess of reality, and a beautiful reflection shot, and I can understand why tara (who's been doing shots like this for a long time) is all excited over the proposition that you do more. Terrific reflection shooting, Bill.

(Now, it would be great if this were actually how it was: I mean, not reflections, but actual objects. The only explanation would be this is all holograms...)
