This beautiful building, the Rotorua Museum, sustained structural damage from an earthquake on 14 November 2016 that forced it to close. It is still closed to the public.The museums exhibits concentrate on the Maori history and culture. 40% of the population of Rotorua are Maori. The Museum building, better known as the Bath House, is a Tudor-style building in the Government Gardens. The building was an elegant spa retreat, built in 1908. I painted a tutor home years ago about a third of the size of this museum. I agree about you walking just as fast as you could to get the entire building
