Description

Hi There =) ! Thank you for the wonderful wonderful comments and favs and likes on my renders.

Story / Description :

Continuing from my last render. We were on our way to the picnic... Girls ! We had just exited the area Miho had picked me up from when she noticed a nice backpack on sale in a shop and prompty stopped to buy it. She like most girls loved to shop though she was not into designer stuff. She looked for good bargains and if she found the quality to be good, she bought it. We put the sandwiches into the backpack. Miho made me put on the backpack with the excuse that she was driving and anyway I was sitting behind her. It was so tiny for me. Anyway, I was not going to complain ;). We got back on the bike and took off. It was a fairly long drive. But it was very scenic. There were hills all around and we were headed to was a secluded lake in one of her private properties. The helmet Miho had with her when she picked me up for was for me. I knew Miho was indestructible so she did not need it, but when riding with her, I wore one in spite of knowing Miho won't let anything happen to me. She drove like a demon and the helmet just made me feel safe and also I neither had her eye sight nor her reflexes to avoid those dam bugs. The bike was a special one. It easily out did hyper cars. Too many wannabes' ego in super / hyper cars she had crushed using that bike. It was fitted with a engine of her design and it too was running on her liquid electricity invention she had made before our adventure in Look there. 0 to 100 was less than half a second Oo. Using a conventional bike design helped her hide these advanced technologies. This particular photo was captured by a drone that was flying in a synchronized flight with the bike documenting our travels. Miho's teeny tiny dress was being blown up by the wind rushing by. I had placed my arms around her to kind of hold the dress in place (and also to hang on to my dear life ;) ) but it was kinda futile and well Miho didn't really care. We were happy and were enjoying the ride while chit chatting..... Will continue with the next render.

About this render :

I guess I am being a bit naughty here with the way I posed Miho's skirt :p... TwiztidKidd had commented on my last render and I quote "I don't think she's gonna drive around for long before that dress flies completely off of her"... That was a funny comment :) and so I thought why not and try to create an effect of the wind blowing up the skirt while she rode the bike. Did a fair bit of back and forth between Daz Studio and ZBrush to get the skirt to drape over "my" hands and arms and between her legs and mine as though it was being blown up by the wind. Also spend a fair bit of time to pose her hair. Miho's hair from back was pressed between our bodies and it was anchored so I did not have to do the 'flying' hair effect. Main thing was to give a feel of wind on her right side with the wind pushing her hair back and also her ear ring. And on her left I needed to drape her hair between her head and my helmet. 'Me' here was a G2F and the backpack I had was a G3F one which does not work with Auto Fit. So I used it as a prop and just parented it to the G2F. Then in ZBrush I stretched and positioned the strap properly over the shoulders. This scene started with a scene file of a render I had done a while back. It was a simple scene then. Just Miho riding on an open road with the water tower behind her. For this one I wanted to add more elements / details to the scene. So after posing Miho and 'me' on the bike I added the Range Rover, tanker, trees and the train. Then to give it a feel of a hilly area, I added the ground prop with hills I had. There is a bit of glare in this render (I do tend to use it often). After all it is a bright and sunny day. All this is done within Octane. There is only one thing I do not like about this render and that is the reflection of my white reflector on 'my' helmet visor. I will have to figure out a better way of doing this. Actually I think this is a bug in Octane. You can hide an item and its shadow from the camera but not its reflection. Will report it to Otoy. That reflector was hidden from the camera.

About the wonderful comments you all leave behind :

Navi had comment on my render "Surprise" and I quote "Well, nice lady, obviously :) - I wonder, though, you never feel like making other chars, sometimes ? I never stop making new ones, got my 41th Troublemakers done and ready today lol :D" . 41st character !!! Wow ! Navi really knows how to make those cuties =) of his. As for me, well Miho is the center of my virtual world and there can only be one =). And though yes, maybe over time I will make some more characters but probably as sidekicks of Miho... For now the sidekicks are 'me' and the wolf =)

Useful information :

To get the effect of motion, I used a simple technique that I have mentioned before. I super stretched the asphalt road prop length wise to get those streaks. Also using a wide angle and the POV you see helped. So without having to render actual animation and enable motion blur, I got kind of the same effect. I used the same effect on the green patch on both sides of the road. And using a shallow DOF which blurred the rest of the scene also helped to get that effect of motion. I guess it still can be improved but I am happy with how it come out.

Update 2017-07-09 :

I totally agree with what iborg64 mentioned about the missing 'motion' on the front tire and the spokes. I have uploaded this render again after fixing the front tire texture to indicate motion. But I still need to figure out how to do it for the spokes which are geometry without actually rendering animation.
Hope you all like the render ! Rendered in Daz Studio using the Octane Plugin. No post work done. Full size 1750 x 1000. My previous render - "Center of attraction..." 0da8f842328f440fc17d9832515e5239_thumbnaClick the thumbnail to view it. Enjoy =) ! Rajib PS: I will get to your uploads by tomorrow. Have been a bit too busy.

Very dynamic scene... especially her dress. I find it a bit difficult to concentrate on your characters here because of the bright blue on that range rover and the red color of the truck and it's reflective mudflaps. A black range rover and a chrome tank on that truck would've been less distracting... and the water tower is perfectly good in all white... and the red part of the locomotive looks just as good in grey or silver. So... where did they put the cat? Is it sandwhiched in between them? =)
