Description

Twins sharing the spotlight - the two are working on routines for the upcoming gala so they are in the club alone Thanks for all the faves, comments and friendship this was done in 3Delight as I'm still having troubles getting the lights in IRay to cooperate ie. creating a spotlight and casting intense shadow. if anyone has an idea as to how it is done, I'd really appreciate learning from you thank you all

"If you're blue and you don't know where to go to Why don't you go where fashion sits Puttin' on the Ritz"

In others words, canes and top hats. Otherwise, very cute and ready for the show.

I'm not sure how to create a spotlight effect Mike, but I do know that by running the dodge tool in Adobe around the face, you could increase or reduce the brush size until you get a halo of light around the face. You could reduce the size of the brush, or increase it and drag the brush/dodge tool away from the characters. Benefits here is that the general lighting is dark, so it is possible to light up a remote character as if it's got a spotlight streaming down upon it.
Oh, I'm sure it will come right for you Mike! Great composition Sir!

Nice show :) , and sorry, can't help about that spotlights issue, I never use that kind of lights in Iray (always using mesh lights instead).

I see these two are going to still the stage! Lighting can be tricky in Iray. Here is a link to ShibaShakes page for how she sets up lighting on her work.Think Draw Art She is one of the best If ya ask me. I hope this can be of a little bit of help. She has a few articles pertaining to lighting in IRAY. I would say start with a small size render at first for a faster render and to see how things look. Adjust settings and repeat til you see the effect you are looking for then render out a larger image. I know I always shut off headlamp In IRAY settings to use the lighting I add to the scene. Well im in the same boat as you are about lighting. But I see ( davidvantol ) came up with an idea. Think Ill try it my self. Anyway about your render. Its a really cool scene and I think the lights came out fine. Great job. And if I find good tutorials about lighting I will let you know.

Seems like the new routine is coming along nicely, I don't use Daz at all, but to me the blue fill light needs to be higher up and pointing down slightly to illuminate the pitch black floor, just a suggestion and it probably doesn't work that way in Daz.

~Cheers~
