About 1,000 meters east of my previous post we find ourselves at Triangeln, that triangular square with 5 streets entering it - 2 from the north, and 3 from the south. There was a 6th street from the west, but that has been a pedestrian shopping street since the 1970s.
Beside one of the streets to the south we find this VERY tall statue. It is Bjørn Nørgaards postmodern statue "Treenighet" (Trinity), decorating the Triangle since 1999. It's made of bronze, granite, limestone and sandstone.
The statue is a fountain, squirting water from what the 3 figures are holding in their hands.
There are 3 figures, however I don't quite grasp the meaning of the title. Is the artist inspired by the Holy Trinity or by something else?
Bjørn Nørgaards is a contemporary well known Danish artist. If you want to know more about him, check

it is an interesting and beautiful statue/fountain
At least he had the sense not to have the water flowing from certain points

Superb capture. God bless.

Very interesting, a Spartan milieu, and clean as a whistle. Incidentally, religious connotations aside, Trinity was the code name of the first detonation of a nuclear weapon. It was conducted by the United States Army at 5:29 am on July 16, 1945, as part of the Manhattan Project.

That's a lovely fountain! Great shot of it, Michael! I'm loving your tour, my friend - next best thing to being there (which I'd love to do...).
