Description
For Project Earthbound.
Professor Joseph Worthy, shaman and elder of the Tailacoche tribe, blesses his grandson Arthur and grand nephew Jimmy before the boys leave home on their first spirit quest.
Re-did from an earlier render. The goal was to create a more realistic image that would resemble an actual snapshot taken by someone watching the ceremony. To that end, I upgraded all the textures, fiddled with the lighting and let the image be a little overexposed. I think it came out pretty good, but I'm open to suggestions for improvement.
All rendered in Iray. Some minor postwork in Photoshop.

A very realistic scene ! The real background and the hard light makes the render close to a real snapshot ! The only thing I find a bit strange is the red color of the Chief's hands and arm, maybe because of the too sudden separation with the whole body's color! But I suppose it's a ritual painting...A great work anyway !
