For Project Earthbound. This one is a mythological terror called a bukwus (pronounced, I think, "BOO-kwoos"). The bukwus is an undead creature from Pacific Northwest Indian legends. A bukwus is created from the restless soul of a) a person who drowned, or b) a person who foolishly ate food offered to them by another bukwus. These demons appear as hairy skeletons, have the ability to turn invisible, and stalk victims who mistakenly walk through the woods at night, in hopes of killing them and turning them into undead. In the world of my story, the bukwus are also the result of a mad nonterrestrial society that recycles everything, including the dead.
