Description

In Greek mythology, the Moirai or Moerae, often in English usually known as the Fates, were the incarnations of destiny; their Roman equivalent was the Parcae. The gods and men had to submit to them, although Zeus's relationship with them is a matter of debate: some sources say he is the only one who can command them (the Zeus Moiragetes), yet others suggest he was also bound to the Moirai's dictates. But that's not the end of the story. There is a difference between fate and destiny. Destiny is related to men, fate is in relationship with the entire universe: men, things, world, gods and more. In some cultures, others than Greek, thera are similar entities, as the Moirai, representing the whole fate of the world (universe), rather than destiny of singles. And today? the debate speaking of the differences between fate and destiny is still actual. From philosophy to cosmology, from psychology to religions, none final disclosure has been reached. But the question concerns us everybody. Perhaps it is time to devote on the subject a serious search... if it isn't too late! Because who can know that fate is already established? Who hold the final destiny of the universe, of the world... and all of us?

Very beautifully created with lots of super lace detail. An interesting concept and one that causes lots of debate and no real answers. Excellent work. :)

I would prefer to think that our individual fate/destiny is not predetermined but is the result of the individuals actions.

One of the mostly asking but hard to answering questions! :-) Already established fate is not much logical for me,Brings too much unanswered questions together!? I prefer to think we are encountered the results of our own choices-decision and actions,of course sometimes others choices-decisions and actions could be intersect with ours!....It's like unfortunately going out to shopping same day-same Mall with the couple of damned terrorists who are making an inhumane attack plan!! Is it Fate? or intersecting with some others plans? :-) :-) One of the topic that possible to discuss endlessly! :-) Well..Your photo manipulation art is gorgeous as usual,Also it's quite difficult to find all the suitable pictures that you need for your concept! You are always successful on this! Congrats again my friend,Also thank you very much for your kind comment to my latest work :-) :-)

Fascinating image and commentary on the Mythology. Do we really get to shape our own destiny, or are we simply bound to the whims of chance in an uncaring and indifferent cosmos? Love the skeins forming around the Earth. Most excellent work!
