Terrrrrrific. Great postwork, and wonderful colors. And great shapes. This is an andrea piece if ever there was one. The original shot is gorgeous too---for the hues of the umbrella, and the way the world sifts through it. But here, you went to town. Gorgeous.

(Brits really have a thing for umbrellas. I bought a Fox umbrella---british handmade, very sleek, beautiful, classy. The Italians make handmades too, but they're much rougher and more rustic. And they weigh a ton. I imagine Londoners on their way to work would get rotator cuff problems carrying those things around! Your umbrella, above, is gorgeous.) (And the umbrella---in its various forms---goes back to the ancient world, as you probably know. Our word comes from "umbra," other words have "sun" in them ((para-sol---around the sun)), and there are other words for them in the ancient world. It was used for sun protection as well as for signs of class. And asians put exquisite art in their folds, as you also know. I have a couple of Italian ones too, maybe I'll post a shot of them...)
