Ille-sur-Tet, Pyrénées-orientales, France A long time ago, the soil was composed of sand agglomerated with clay and the whole was covered with a harder layer. Rainfall erosion created this landscape of organs, chimneys or sand columns. The tops are often still covered by the hardest layer that protects them. The erosion continues its work still now, and one day there will be only a pile of sand ... Il y a longtemps, le sol était composé de sable aggloméré avec de l'argile et l'ensemble était recouvert d'une couche plus dure. L'érosion par les pluies a créé ce paysage d'orgues, de cheminées ou de colonnes de sable. Les sommets sont souvent couverts par la couche plus dure qui les protège. L'érosion continue son travail encore maintenant, et un jour il n'y aura qu'un tas de sable ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200

Effectivement, ce site est très beau et doit être impressionnant en réalité ! Ton image est très bien prise. On dirait que tu as utilisé un petit télé car il n'y a pas beaucoup de profondeur de champ ; du coup, à cause de la végétation , ces structures de sable n'ont pas l'air très hautes ! Heureusement, comme le fait remarquer Danielle, les arbres à leur sommet donnent l'échelle de ces formations qui semblent faire au moins 30 mètres ! Excellente image, Jean-Claude !

Merci pour ton commentaire! Le site est très beau en effet (je posterai d'autres images), mais je pense que ton évaluation de la hauteur est exagérée. J'espérais trouver ce renseignement sur la brochure de visite ou sur wikipedia... mais je n'ai pas trouvé.

L'objectif est en fait en grand angle pour cette photo. J'ai regardé quelques unes de mes photos où se trouvent des visiteurs, et mon évaluation est plutôt de 15 m à 20m.
