What's New with The Art Of Carol Cavalaris
Galleries: I currently exhibit my work in several Colorado galleries, including juried shows at Art At The Center in Nederland, and Gilpin County Art Association in Central City. I also exhibit in several on-line art galleries. I also have on-going exhibits at various banks, community centers, libraries, restaurants, and also participate in local Art Fairs and Festivals. Art Licensing: I am a collectible artist with The Bradford Exchange, where my art is on a Dream Catcher Collection, as well as an exclusive figurine and sculpture collection. My art is also being licensed and is on a variety of products including: eSkins for laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc., puzzles that are being sold in Target, K-Mart, and other retail and web stores. Several of my pieces have been licensed by a company called The Mountain. They produce high-quality, environmentally-friendly T-shirts and other apparel, and have some of the finest wildlife and fantasy artists in the world on their team. I love your rainbow zoo collection...this elephant---it looks like a younger elephant---is absolutely natural in all those hues: Again, you don't just "add" colors: You somehow integrate them into the original photo/painting, etc. In fact it looks like this elephant is wearing some wild tie-dyed body-outfit, which fits perfectly and was designed by a great late 60s designer. A great melding of your hues and the elephant: I really mean this: It's nothing to put colors onto an image; but the colors here are so integrated into the elephant, it's like he/she was born this way. Terrific job. And it emerges out of a rainbow. You kept your sky light blue---with whites---so it won't interfere with the elephant: It's the perfect light background. Terrific!
(you even gave purples to its right lower leg--our left--and reds to its left: Delightful variation of that wrinkled lower portion of an elephants legs.)
