Description

I get these animals at all ages and in all kinds of shape. I have some die as they come in so sick or injured sometimes. The rest I settle in a routine. Medical care, vaccines, feed, clean, figure out housing, (this changes as they grow) and in general raise them. Add in play time, dishwashing, laundry, cage cleaning and repair and of course shopping. Medical supplies, food, toys, etc. Skeepless nights, baths, hundreds of bottles of many sizes, depending on the species of animal, add in class time for the animals and that pretty much tells you the story. I said all of that to say this. My goal is always release. They belong in the wild. This was taken with my cell phone as I forgot my camera that day. I released this guy and five others last week. Then I walk away and hope I've done enough to teach them how to make it. This is my goal. This is why I do what I do.

I wish I could give you more than 5 stars - the pictures you post and the stories you tell of the roonies and other critters that 'invade' your life is, at times, heart-warming and yet at other times heart-breaking. You know that when you reach the Rainbow Bridge you will be smothered by every animal that you've ever worked on..... they will be so happy to see you... I want to be there to see that.....

You are doing such wonderful work with the animals and what a goal it is to release them all back in the wild. Superb capture. God bless.

Cell phones can do a lot of good photos - here's the proof of the pudding. I have often wondered about your inventory of necessary things for all the critters you take care of. And now I know! LOTS! And very different, too. I'm surprised you have time to sleep. I assume you have a dish washing machine, too. Or that would take so much time! I love seeing your critter photos. And, thanks for the comments on my Amelia series! Keep up the good work! :-)

My rat-ing - 6 happy rats playing in the wild!
