New story starts today. This began a few years ago as something quite different to what it has ended up as... All done with the first Genesis characters... Part 1:- Jake lifted one lazy eyelid and gazed sleepily at the slowly coloring sky. It looked like being a fine day now, with all the heavy rain of the past few days now moved along elsewhere. Of course it meant that the humidity would now be higher but over the years his young body had grown accustomed to the higher temperatures and humid air of this tropic world. In fact he had grown rapidly after “The Happening” had put him on this planet and he had to quickly learn to look after himself. Fortunately, the island, if indeed it was an island, had an abundance of fruit bearing trees and vines together with a lagoon of fine edible fish that were sweet and nutritious, especially when eaten raw. He could have saved fire from the occasional lightning strike during a storm, but he preferred not to attract the attention of the Others. His abundant food supply and constant activity had given him a powerful body. So much so that on the rare encounter with the Others he found that they were somewhat reluctant to attack him. Still, he always carried his spear and other useful things that he had fashioned from the remains of the wreck, for, on this world, you never knew what would appear. He suspected that the Others could have cannibalistic instincts and may see him as a choice meal. However he kept to his territory, and fortunately they kept to theirs…...
