Description

Part 2:- Jake always liked an early morning swim to get him going and wash away the threads of night, so he called to the two Cats and invited them to join him. They came romping along the sandy edge and they all plunged in together. He called them the Cats, although he suspected that it may be an incorrect term. Somewhere in his past he vaguely remembers seeing a picture of Cats and they looked a little like these animals, though were not as big. Perhaps they all grew to be this size. His pair, which had befriended him when he was just a boy, were as high as his waist. They could be quite ferocious though when attacking other animals, which they ate. He smiled when he thought of their behavior. They always saved a portion of the kill for him, as he too always offered part of his food to them. It was their ritual, even though they did not like the fruit and vegetables that he mostly ate, so he suspected that they were strictly carnivores.
