Description

My sons and I went to the county fairgrounds to see all the E.H. Holmes from Connecticut and Century from Chattanooga, Tennessee recovery vehicles as well as the new at that time heavy fork at the rear to replace single and multiple boom cranes and winches to allow high speed tow without hooks and straps. Recently we have been noting all the vehicles being recovered both light and heavy and even a flatbed recovery truck which came later, THEN..our own vehicle just showed light in the dashboard when we wanted to go to a dental appointment. Seems this year was ideal for battery failures even on a vehicle only three years old. My knowledge of dry charge batteries and wet charge batteries was obsolete long ago and even the 84 month battery for the key we got for our Prius three years ago was now a sign in the payment room that said all of our batteries are warranted for 100 months so we got a new battery after using a charger in the garage and limping to the dealer about half hour and many lights away. Ye, it does stumble going up a hill as it tries to decide how to appease the environmentalists while possessing only 10 volts with a dead cell.

when a city trash truck had a hydraulic leak in the alley, the city sent their biggest "recovery" truck they had. it took nearly 2-3 hours to navigate out of the alley and still crossed the lawn of one house
