Description

Ralphie has lasted much longer than I expected, as he was losing weight so much a year or two ago he looked like a starving stray. Since I have fed him a little and often and given him his chicken breast by hand each morning he has put back all the weight and seems happy although easily tired. He is about 15 now. I also spoon feed him his dinner to get him started, and then sometimes he eats the second half himself ! After breakfast he enjoys a short walk and then he has another rest!

It's nice to see how well you take care of your faithful companion Ralphie and how well he is doing.
Very nice capture Andrea.

Your routine sounds like what I did for my Chloe. Unfortunately she passed away a month ago. But older dogs do need that extra special care to help them maintain themselves. Glad to hear what you're doing is working.

I suspect that you are a better person than you let on. I've known people who, when an animal becomes inconvenient, have it put to sleep. I hope his mind is sound. Animals have been known to suffer from dementia.

He is very blest to have someone who cares so selflessly for him. You can tell a great deal about a person by the way they treat their animals. :) I hope you have many more years with Ralphie. Wonderful photo! God bless.

Sweet boy. I'm glad he's doing all right in his dotage. If we can choose our next lives, I would like to come back as one of your dogs.
