Description

Talimena Drive stretches from Mena, Arkansas into Oklahoma along the Ouachita Mountain chain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talimena_Scenic_Drive. I captured this view from about 150 feet with my Mavic Pro. This was on Monday, 10-16-17 - an absolutely gorgeous day, with gentle breezes, and temps in the 70s. A perfect day for photography from both the ground and the air. I'll have several more to post. We are back home now - we came back a little early, as I wanted to get this neverending basement project finished. And I'm happy to say this project is about 95% done! I have all computers back up and running - well, all except one... My Velocity laptop (the one with Poser on it, and also the one I did all my video editing on) decided to shoot craps while we were in Arkansas. I have 2 other computers here with Poser, so I'm not out of business at all. It was just nice to be able to play with it a bit in the evenings in the hotel room. But I still have the Origin laptop with DAZ. Anyway, I'm hoping to be able to start getting caught up with commenting, and viewing your wonderful art. It's been almost 2 months that I've been down, and I've missed you all more than I can put into words. But things are coming together nicely, and you can look for the T.N.A. Gals to be back in action soon! We'll be heading out for a few days after Halloween, for Eureka Springs hopefully, depending on the weather. Thanks to all of you who have sent me emails, sitemails, and dedications! You all rock! Thanks for stopping by, and for any comments you wish to leave.

It seems that driving down the road, your view would be trees and more trees. You found the best way to see the scenery ... what a glorious shot!

A fabulous capture with an amazing view. It looks as though you could go for miles here, and how lovely to be driving through the trees. I love these images taken from your drone. Down here we have put so many rules in place it has restricted taking photos from drones worse luck. :)

Glad to see you home safe and with a load of great drone photos. What surprises me with this photo is the road's location - along the top of the hills, instead of the usual run through the valleys. Whoever drew that roads stretches had a good idea for scenery. Yupp! Looking forward to more TNA stuff. A bummer that the lap top fizzled while on the trip. But, as you say, you have double back-up! And DO be careful of spooks on that planned Halloween trip! Keep up the good work! :-)

This sort of reminds me of the Great Wall of China except that it's a highway! Outstanding image!! =)

While watching this amazing long road it is if it is growing under my eyes, and if it moves forwards, what I can follow; a bit like following a winding snake that continues walking (twisting). Well, is a snake running/running? No, it moves. 😁

Your landscapes all have such a generous feeling...I don't know any other word: You capture so much, and yet you seem to caress it all. I have no idea how you make choices with a drone, I know zilch about that, unfortunately; but this is a Rod shot however it's captured. I was trying to describe it to Helle (in an email), how you treat everything in these shot with equal respect and equal embrace. This big long shot---I'm in full view now---just rolls out over a huge landscape, and it's all captured with gentle embrace. Very whole. Lovely and full shot of a beautiful rolling landscape. Must've been nice to see all this, after the many crammed and difficult days before retirement.
