I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Beautiful photo. 20 second exposure is too fast to get star trails (due to earth's rotation). So, it's light pollution. I thought it was another fire below the horizon - there's been too many in both the Americas and in Europe. Glad it was only light pollution! Night photography can be a real challenge and give some unusual effects! Keep up the good work! :-)
Kitty's sleeping by the key board - man, was she happy to see the computer back in its place! Now she stands by the computer chair starring at me until I sit down and start the computer. Then she's up in my lap, looking at the monitor. When tired, she's onto the table and lie down by the key board. Zzzzz.....

What a fabulous evening shot. Bet it cannot be done without a tripod? Looks fantastic.

Glad your nearly done on the renovation Rod. Will be looking for your new images. Love your nightime capture.

outstanding sky capture and full screen will blow your socks off!!

Magnificent! Makes you feel rather insignificant doesn't it. Light pollution is even a problem here in the middle of nowhere. Even the barns now have security lights next to them.

What an exquisite photograph! I love the light on the tree, the glow from the town below, and ... of course ... the billions of stars! Such a treat to be out in the dark and be able to see stars. :) Can't wait to see the finished Lair!

A fabulous night capture with amazing light. I'm sorry I missed your birthday but I'm sure you had a great day with your family. We are lucky here with seeing the stars on clear nights they are so magical. I would miss not being able to see them from my bed when I wake through the night. Looking forward to seeing what the girls are up to too. :)

With everyone else, wonderful shot of deep, dark and the intense night light (human/artificial light, contrasting with the natural dark). Love that tree on the right. And the bright distant lights. And those stars---yes, when one gets out of a huge urban sprawl, one realizes there was a huge cosmos doing its thing all these months, and no one never saw it. A real true-to-life night shot, with a great lit tree and lots and lots of space given to the sky. Very, very inviting.
(You mentioned a 20,000 ISO: I've had a scene in my head of the creation of the universe, and someone saying, "God? Too much grain!" And God scrounges around, figuring out a fix, when someone suggests ISO. It's not very funny, and it needs a lotta work, but there's a story in there somewhere...) (a plaque could be placed under Creation: Day 3, with Exif data...I'm working on it...)

Somewhere amongst all those stars, intelligent life must exist...
(... because Earth may or may not qualify? Avoiding flying bricks)
In seriousness, awesome night display, Rod. I've always wanted to get a telescope and head out to the lakefront one clear night (hopefully avoiding light pollution) to get a better look at out stellar neighbors.

Given the fact that there are "billions and billions" (channeling Carl Sagan, here...) of stars in our galaxy - and billions and billions of galaxies out there... AND the rate at which we're finding exoplanets - many in the habitable zone - I find the concept that this insignificant speck of dust we live on to be the only place with "intelligent" life utterly inconceivable. "They" are just keeping a safe distance to observe - because this planet is filled with NUTS..... Most of them are running countries...
