GIRL ON A BRIDGE
So...for this piece I thought I would come up with a brilliant title, so I thought long and hard for about 3 seconds, then came up with this. ;-)
Someone mentioned in their comments on another post that it was a cool filter I used for that piece. haha I wish it were a single filter. I'm such an unorganized person, I never remember what I do from one work to the next, so the effects are seldom alike. Usually, I spend hours (much longer than I spend thinking up titles!) putzing around with filters until I get something I like. I probably use anywhere from 5 to 10, or maybe even 15, filters overlaid with each other until something works out. I envy these wonderfully organized people who just know what filters to apply in what instances, and can do it time after time after time. Someday--when I grow up--I'm going to be organized. (I actually just typed that with a semi-straight face....)
Have a wonderful rest-of-the-week, dear friends! God bless.
~Robert

Wonderful character and setting.Marvelous filtering.

I'm lucky if I get the scene set up in the first place, much less playing with it afterward. Admittedly I wouldn't know a filter if it bit me, so there isn't much to worry about. This is really cool, like a very intricate pencil sketch.

this is lovely... and that is the beauty and fun of filters. Sometimes in my own work... I will create several final merged images and then run them individually through filters and actions for a final look.

given what I've seen of your work, you could easily have drawn all this. Then again, you could have transformed a 3D or photographic image. Or combined the techniques. Whatever you did, you have a wonderfully composed image; if this were 'only' a photo, you'd have a wonderfully composed image, the way the bridge opens up to us, after leaving behind an immensely detailed and 'compressed' Chinese facade (which were designed for such compression of details). And the contrasts of nature around that intense building. Whatever the bridge elements were prior to your filtering, you've rendered them an architect's drawing---an art I assume still exists (it's how I got my start as an artist) (I wasn't an architect, just an artist). It has that spare but oh-so nuanced and musical feeling and grace. And the trees feel like they're etched on. Whatever you did, a first rate image, with the woman being the focal point drawing us into the scene. Great hair too---it flares out like the trees. First rate work. I hope to comment on more before I step away again (I go gallery by gallery, and it takes me wayyyyyyy too long...if I wrote shorter comments, I'd be able to comment more). A typically very fine image from you.
