Description

I had therapy on my arm today, and I can't type much. I'm fine, just in pain---a necessary treatment I go through a few weeks a year... I'll post my Mark dedi tomorrow or friday. And I'll return to your galleries too. I've loved being back. This was for a cover for a poetry publication, about 'winter'. They wanted "strong winter forms, with some dark mood, but not too much". Just wanted to post a photo that needed no postwork---not because it's perfect, but because it's finished. (Sometimes that's a boon.) Near home. I'll be back soon. And Mark: Happy 70th! Go see the Ghiberti doors---ask Tara! They were made for your eye and heart... peace, Mark (please zoom) ------------------

this is wonderful! the tree branches forming frames around the windows in the distance is a great idea. I like the touch of brilliant white snow on the very dark tree, the contrast is perfect.

You know what they say, no pain, no gain. Well, bull! I say no pain, good! I hope you are feeling better like yesterday.

Now this says winter all over. Pretty somber but with a promise of riotous color and new life come spring.

I had to look twice to make sure you hadn't shot this beauty on litho film (remember film?). It's so graphic and stark - absolutely perfect for a winter scene. You got a great one here, Mark!

I guess I need to man up, and get out there to shoot some winter scenes once in a while. LOL

Hope your treatment goes well, and your pain goes away quickly, my friend.

Very nice capture Mark.
The tree in the foreground looks like a huge hand that wants to grab the skyscrapers in the background.
I hope you feel better soon.

Just stunning. You have a way with contrast that works. Every time, it works. I try it, and it looks like shit. You do it, and it comes out looking like something that should be hanging in a gallery or a museum. LOOOOOOOOVE this!!!
