My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A stunner - love the dual transition from color to gray & from sharp focus to soft...

A masterpiece! Reminds me of a 19th century landscape painting.

Amazing light in this beautiful moody capture and I love how the rays are showing at the top. A great shot for the memory bank. :)

beautiful light painting, which dapples the mountains and the ground with an almost undersea light. And it feels like 'silk' light too---esp in the sky, where it's not seen 'against' anything. You coaxed out completely non-material sights here---all light and sheen and shadow---and turned this landscape into a piece of magic. Beautiful work, Tara. A beautiful, very magical image.
(I'm almost finished with Bill's piece. It just took time...it's imaginative rather than realistic, and it's taken time to hone it...it should go up soon.)

This looks fantastic. Love the mixed landscape with rocks and vegetation and the mountains, not to mention the fantastic light and warm colors. 5*

So dramatic! I this week watched a BBC programme about the power of past floods, millennia ago. About a third of the hour was about the Scablands of Washington. Fascinating !

OK, now this is epic! What a fantastic shot, Tara! That mountain range has such a misty, other-worldly feel to it, and you've captured it so well!
