Trystan: “And who exactly is this fellow?”
Irinu: “Someone in search of our aid – just appeared, accompanied by a giant beetle. Something to do with enchantments, I believe; but I did not enquire further.”
T: “And Auritu saw him even though he had no appointment?”
I: “She seemed quite taken with him, my Lord.”
T: “Indeed. Then it is as well he is no longer here. Our Lady President appears all too often to forget just to whom she is engaged.”
I: “He spent much of his visit here talking with her; long into the evenings, I hear. Just the two of them.”
T: “Without a chaperone? Unheard-of! I will have to speak to Auritu.
President of the Grand Council she may be, but she is also my betrothed, and I expect her to behave as she will once we are married.”
I: “There are many of the women here, my Lord, who would suggest that your attitude to women is rather old-fashioned.”
T: “Indeed. And what of this intruder – I presume he was attractive in some way?”
I: “A real charmer. I have not seen our President smile so much, or heard her laugh so often as I have these last days. Some of the female servants and guards found him very personable.”
T: “And he has left now?”
I: “Yes.”
T: “Just as well. I would have challenged him to explain himself .”
I: “I don’t think our Prsident would have condoned that, my Lord; she would not appreciate blood on her carpet.”
T: “I will go to her now.” (Leaves.)
I: (alone) “Probably just as well I didn’t tell him about the new uniform she ordered for him …”

Seems I was right. There's a triangle taking shape here!
Have to say Trystan's hairstyle and choice of color for his garments strike me as rather too freakish and gaudy, compared to those of Kargaz. :) I do sympathise with his old-fashioned attitude to women, though!
