My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

This is a fabulous capture of handsome Michael Tara, with a great pose and lovely clarity. You make people come alive and how lovely for his mother to have such a wonderful image. :)

This is a wonderful portrait. Michael has a great presence. And I like the cape like drape of the jacket. Very jaunty.

Quite the dapper looking young fellow! Wonderful shot, Tara! As always, you bring out the best in your subjects.

I don't know why he would be camera shy, he cuts quite the figure in that suit. And this is coming from someone who hates suits.

Picking up where I left off...(and btw---you're becoming a standup comic! I'm used to you joking around, that's been common for years, but you're getting a whole standup thing going, w/ one liners, the timing, the bits---I'm not sure whether to thank you for your consistently great and perceptive comments, or to tip my waitress. You been hangin' out in clubs, lady? It's a great ride, so don't let me stop you!) Ok. This is an example of the tonal values I've talked about in this series. He's got a dark suit---navy, I presume? But you get this full bodied feeling in your dark hues, and they're almost liquid. Every wrinkle is expressive. The light on it is expressive. And the background is in perfect tonal contrast. It's simple but it's beautiful and eloquent. A beautiful portrait, for the very reason that it's really sensitive photography, period. These portraits just shine.
