A real portrait...I love the woman in green, playing her flute. As if she brings water by her mere melody. And the green everywhere---including that amazing bench, where leaves and carving are one. And the creatures all around, like an Eden scene. I also love the notes dancing out of her flute---in white, and with the contours of the leaves to where I almost didn't notice them at first. Even the little animal on her leg. (Is that a sloth? A small raccoon?) The squirrel on the right seems to be wearing a crown of fleece or feathers. This is magical. And it has a little touch of Henri Rousseau too. A mini paradise...
