Description
I'm in the middle of commenting, but I wanted to wish you all a beautiful Christmas before it gets any later. My image is just a fantasy of light in the 'dark season' (for those in the Northern Hemisphere). The photo's a park nearby, but the fantasy is anywhere...
For those of you who are religious about Christmas, and for those who just celebrate the spirit of the day; and for those who just like the time of year, with its lights and (hopefully) love and kindness, I wish you all a full, loving, and blessed holiday, and hope that the next year brings waterfalls of peace and fulfillment.
Some of you've had a very difficult year, and some of you are struggling right now with illness, financial matters, loss of property, etc: May you find healing and peace from all pain, and from all struggle...you all give so much light: I hope it all comes back to you many times over.
Some of you have had terrible losses this year, others are caring for sick loved ones: I wish you comfort and deep tranquility in the coming year...may it lift your terrible burdens; and, for those who are caretaking, may it lift you and your ailing loved ones into light.
Finally, all of you are wild and devoted enough to slave over something as inexplicable as 'images', and words and music...I hope that magic never goes away; and, as an old teacher once said, may you teach the stars how to shine...
With gratitude and love: a sweet Christmas to you all, and Chanukah too (it ended today), and all the other days the world celebrates, including the magical Solstice. Thank you for your superlative love and support throughout the year, and may peace follow you wherever you go, Mark

Hello, Mark! first and foremost, this is a very striking image you've given us: the bold colours and shapes capture the eyes and draws us into different and fantastic realm. What we find in it is, as you say, up to us (a little paraphrasing here) we just have to let our imagination go with the flow, whether it be a gentle trickle of water or a torrent to rival the wickedest white-water rapids. For some of us, we're trying to break new grounds and the occasional computer in doing so. Your images and words gives us, or at least me, inspiration to try new things; break out of the box of conformity of 'this is the way I've always done this, why change now?' Your insight and observations into our art gives us a look at how others might see it but don't put it into words as elegantly as you. and from YOUR words, we can say, 'well, hell! I didn't know I was doing this? let's explore this path and see where it leads me.'
May you and your loved ones have a wonderful & Merry Christmas! and I wish you and all, a very Happy New Year.
thanks again for all your insight!

I hope your holiday season has been, and continues to be, a restful and happy one.
Your image is wonderful! This must be what it's like when Chanukah and Christmas collide. Blue-and-white festival lights in the sky, Christmas twinkle-light-colored trees below, and everything happening at once.

A fantastic image showing your singular out-of-the-box creativity. Thank you for all of your kind words, wonderful stories and humor during this difficult year. I will not be sad to see 2017 end. And I wish you a new year of healing, of joy and laughter and the brightest Festivus ever. Hanukah ended today? Damn, and I didn't get any latkes!

How beautiful this looks with the lovely warm colours and the most unusual sky. One's imagination can run riot here. A hint of magic with the pink lights and the hint of sci-fi with the sky. A very different combination and yet the whole image captures the mind and makes it glad that it has seen this today. A fabulous image and I hope you and your friends have a very happy festive season. 😀

Beautiful image! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

You have presented us with a starkly beautiful scene, suggesting deep sea coral, with deep colors, and extreme detail and contrast, in this Christmas offering, Mark. I don't observe this particular holiday in really any manner, mostly because I'm not of the Christian faith anyway, and to a lesser extent because the holiday is extremely commercialized. I read that there are people who are still paying off their Christmas purchase debt from 2016. Akin to running on a treadmill. Anyway, thanks for the lift, at least in spirit, we can all partake in that, this also being the shortest day of the year.

Your eloquence in both words and images is an inspiration to us all, Mark! I don't know how many times I've read your comments, and been amazed at the things you see in my images that sometimes as, Mike said, I don't even see. You have taught me so many things about my own humble attempts at art and photography, and given all of us a fresh outlook on our own work, Like many others, I am eternally grateful for your vision, words and art.
May you have a blessed Christmas and new year! And I hope you get that Mac slapped back into submission!

I read your other post called delay first my friend, I'm so sorry you still going through that trouble. Should not happen to a kinder person at all and I feel like your help has put you into a stumbling block on that.
Your image is just stunning! Your a master at photo manip and I'm glad our friend Mike is inspired like others with your work. I might try someday on some photos. Love those deep red trees and alien looking ships in the sky, my pov snyway. Great colors all around that makes you observe everything.
So many like me have gone through or are still having troubles, but hope and pray for a better 2018 for sure for all. Just hope Donald Duck Trump doesn't go off the deep end and do more stupid crap. Never in history has the us been disliked by more nations then now. We might not have any or much backup if there is a war. A few here have lost a loved one tecently. My friend Wanda is going through here chemo and has done her feeling rotten all the time. I pray for all during this holiday season and think of our less fortunate. Mark I hope you and your family have a most joyous season my friend, and your inspiring words you wriTE mean alot to us all. Thanks for being a friend. Steve.

We all learn from you, Mark, about how to 'make the stars shine'. You bring such light and love to this world, with everything you do and everything you are. Keep shining bright, my friend. And big holiday hugs to you.
