Description

This is the smallest of a group of tiny elephants brought home from Ceylon in the 1920's by my Great Uncle Jim. It was before we knew what suffering and horror this trade was to cause.

I have an ivory chess set my father brought back from Asia in 1946. The pieces are about this size and the handicraft is exquisite. Now days most artists use cow bone.
