Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I agree with you, running is very dangerous ! One of our doctors gave it up after he got Joggers' Nipple.

Jogger's Nipple? Give me a break. Anyway, cool capture of your sister triumphantly waving as she crosses the finish line. And running on a hard surface for so many years would definitely wear out one's hips and knees.

I never did jogging for that very reason---though "Joggers' Nipple"? Honestly, that sounds like the beginning of a standup routine! (I assume Andrea's serious, but the med profession has to come up with a scarier name...) Great shot of your sister's triumph and glee at running, we can really see her leg muscles, and the stuff behind is really fascinating! A real moment's capture of your sister's endurance and glee. Action shooting just doesn't seem to stop you. You take it on with total ease.
