Description

More from the place with the tank. El Paso, Texas Fort Bliss First Armored Division Museum I'm told by you-know-who that this is a Cobra and a Huey. Also, there are road wheels behind the flying business. (The road wheels run along the inside of the track. He wants you to know this. I'm sure there's more, but I'm not asking.) I like things at museums that aren't what the museum is about. Helicopters at a tank museum, for example. They seem to be quite different from each other. Topaz filter is "abelha branco"

Cool capture Tara and I like the finish you have given them, far better than camouflage green. You sound to have had expert advice on getting the names right. lol. 😃

I'm really impressed with this. Full size, it's 2 big rusty ugly beasts colliding in a small space---not physically colliding, but aesthetically, as in "on the page"---and not seeming too happy about it. The helicopter in back is like a gigantic cricket; you cropped it off so it's clearly on its way out of the frame, and doesn't care a whit about us. Terrific cropping. The monster in front looks like it's accidentally run into you, and it wants to get past. I see the wheels back there; and I see surfaces which look weather-worn and wheezed-out; and the effect is of a random traffic meeting of two beasts, who have separate places to go and not a lot of patience to say hello. A really expressive shot, Tara; and the tones---blah'd, bleached and dirty---are perfect. If you'd upped the hues, you'd have lost the feel completely. I love this shot.

Excellent POV/crop and post work. As a historian (an historian?) I sometimes wonder how far ahead we would be if we didn't spend so much blood and treasure on war and weapons of war.

Where's the Raid (like, bug spray)? Please excuse the pun, but with the looks of these things I couldn't help it! Nice special effects. Keep up the good work! :-)

I've been there three years ago. Rather difficult to get in for a non-US citizen. A fascinating "museum". Perfect composition.

Wonderful images of these two famous choppers, Tara! I know these models well - I've worked on both.. They both have their own very distinctive sound. The sound made by 20 or so Hueys approaching will raise every hair on your body.

Love the effects you've come up with here.
