Description

Jake and Dariel had known each other their entire lives. For Jake Dariel had been his best friend Kariel and Yariel's annoying little brother for most if. Two years his junior, Jake had put up with Dariel's attempts to horn in on his brothers adventures, but they weren't children anymore, and now their hearts were joined. The idea of not having Dariel along with him actually made him feel a little sick. He had brought him to Sky Beach to propose. The beach sat 525 meters above sea, separated from the ocean below by a violent earthquake nearly a million years ago. Like Dariel it was a unique, a perfect place to ask him to bind their lives together as one. The red head had just taken Dariel in his arms and said "Marry me," as the sky opened up, dropping an ocean of rain on them." "What?" The rain drowned out nearly all sound, leaving their voices indistinct. "Marry me." Jake repeated hopelessly. Searching for Dariel's lilac eyes eyes through the blinding shower, he could see the innocent mirth within them. Out of frustration, he kissed him feeling the love they shared. It was a communication all its own. "Yes," Dariel said, as if on cue, the sky parted, letting the sun shine through the lingering drops.
