Often tree trunks can be so interesting and bazaar which always tell a story. Cool variations

Cool fx, they look great on the bark. Another fave/like.

Your original is an upload to itself: You have this almost 'marine' lighting on it---as if the tree were underwater (in the way its light undulates across the bark, between shadows). And the big splash of bark is just fascinating, as is the intense activity around that cut-off branch---a big hilltop that's been cutoff, mid growth. I love that shot. Your 1st variation is an etch-y thing, with all kinds of intense pointillism and grain. Very intense. The next variation reminds me of posters and other graphic designs: 3 tones, and everything is combined into a big topography. And the last variation has taken that idea further: you've flattened the tree (no modeled perspective) and broken it, along with the bldg in the background, into splotches and cutouts. Love how you move from full image (top) to a flat digital sketch. Fine explorations, Harry, and I love the original.
