Description
(please zoom)
This is the image that my "Brooch 1" came from (here). When you zoom, you'll see that the statue is attached to the pedestal. My postwork made it look "floating": Just messing around...
And yes, I did post something similar before.
(And I think would make a better plate than a brooch! Couldn't find the right category for it!)
Finally: It's not a confederate statue: It's Ulysses S. Grant (from the north). Chicago doesn't have many confederate statues, I think...

I'll be posting a dedi soon; then I'll have to take a break. I hope to post other dedis, though...I just may be very late.
I wish you all a wonderful sunday, and thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support. They mean the world to me!
Be well, all,
Mark
(I'll be commenting some more too!)

I see what you did there! Very nifty photo trick. I wish you well and hope that those pesky boils quit trying to establish their own nations within your body. You have a great Sunday as well

I knew I had seen the US Grant statue before! Anyway, like I said, cool depth and detail, plus the quasi sepia barren effect of it all.

Great to see that Mr Grant is well grounded after all. A lovely capture with this interesting finish. Take care of yourself. 😀

Yeah, that's the guy. Nice post work. Don't work so hard, you got the job.

I love the soft yellow-tinged color palette - I wouldn't have thought that it would work on a snowy scene, but it works wonderfully!

Love the kind of vintage sepia look to this, Mark. It looks like one of those wonderful old photos you happen across while going through all that stuff you got from grandma years ago. Just delightful!
