Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

LOL great postwork!!! Yeah I inherited some of this from my mum. It doesn't help the quality of my cooking though....

Why make them so heavy. I love a casserole.

Excellent still life !

I recently purchased one of these to, among other things, bake no-knead bread. Good to know I'm only thirty years behind the times.

I agree with you Andrea. It looks good but if you don't know how to cook, this wouldn't help!

lol, Mark...I picture something this heavy in the kitchen of an old dormitory or convent or monastery. Enough for a huge meal. And there's really a Topaz filter called "Cool Beans Luminosity"? Really??? I have no idea what that means, but kudos to the Topazites for great names! The pic feels like a shot for a high end catalog, because of the creamy white behind it (and no ground), and the deep rich, almost yellow red of the pot. And your topaz runs with the flow of the bowl. A big and very fine pic.

Right, my mom had a few of similar pots like these in yellow and white insede and I am 100% sure it was my father who purchased them. She and he used them every day, but I think it was before the 80´s. Pure Iron I think and heavy as hell and they kept warm for ages LOL! I hated them. Great shot and topaz, btw :)
