A very rich, dark, churning shot, almost like tar or oil; and the textures are almost like hardened lava. Your black and white bring out the turmoil, even the anger of the sea ("the sea was angry that day, my friends"---a line from Seinfeld). Really fine expressive black and white work, Richard.

Yes, if covered in oil! Many unfortunate seamen wound up like this after being torpedoed in WWII. Of note - the water actually has different colors depending on where you are - like the Mediterranean is blue, north Atlantic is black, and so on... Keep up the good work. :-)
