Description
As always, thank you for all your support.
Joshua held up one pill for Emerald and Merrik Doon to see. "The Federation doc says this will knock me out for one hour. Says it'll take five minutes to do it. Once that's over, I'll be free to move about the ship. Then all I have to do is give Mitchell the order to relieve Solana, and it will be over. That is, if Zell can work his magic."
Melee walked into the bay where the Runner was berthed, a grin on her face. "Just came from the bridge bro. Zell has it down to five minutes."
"Has what down to five minutes?" Merrik asked.
"Zell's job is to take over Excalibur's computer," Kirk told him. "I got him started on the basics using the one I had with me when they found me. But the ship's computer is much more powerful. So Zell found an RI computer that's similar in capabilities to the one Starfleet uses and installed the operating system on it. Runs just like Excalibur's."
"Whoa!" Doon shook his head hard. "For a second I thought you said Zell illegally took over an RI comp for personal use. Good thing I was hearing things, huh?"
Melee kissed Merrik on the cheek. "Thank you Uncle Merrik," Melee then paused to spit out a couple hairs.
Merrik laughed. "That's what happens when you kiss a Furrene."
"Tell me about it," Joshua muttered.
"Don't go any further!" Doon said, pointing at the Human. "I don't want to hear about my cousin Metla, and you," Doon then leaned forward. "And I definitely don't want to hear about you and Seesha!"
Em smiled and retrieved the force shackles she'd brought with her. "Ok, these are force shackles. Not even you can break out of these," Pointing behind her to the two Wookiees she'd brought with her, she went on. "And these two friends of mine are going to help with the realism of the holo we're going to send. You're going to have to do some more wrestling."
Joshua held up one hand and walked over to the wall and started ramming his head and fists into it. Melee grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back. He turned his now bloody face to her and grinned. "It's ok Melee! This is just for show. We have to make it look real. One of the MU-SO's will have it fixed in a few minutes. Once this is over, that is."
Emerald stared at Kirk for a second. "You're crazy, did you know that?"
"Of course," Joshua said as he nodded. "And I have the papers to prove it."
Admiral Janith Solana watched the video of Joshua Kirk being manhandled by two very large furry humanoids, the ones called Wookiees. She'd already seen the holo of Kirk wrestling one in a police station. She nodded as he swore in Klingon. She was satisfied it was him.
"Commander Mitchell, send this bounty hunter the coordinates. And prepare a stasis chamber for him. I want him undamaged for the trial."
"Yes, Admiral Solana," Gavin Mitchell left the Admiral's personal quarters to send the message.
The Grekah mercenaries, Barga and Mordin signalled to Karyn that they were in position. They were out hunting for members of the Aliit Forn, the outlawed Mandalorian clan. They needed someone to interrogate as they planned their assault on the Czerka mining complex.
A few minutes earlier they'd heard some voices in the distance and went to investigate. That was when they found three Forn having a heated conversation over something. So they slowly crept up to take them down with their stunners. But as they raised their weapons, the ground around the three mercs exploded.
Four men in black Beskargam burst from spider holes and dragged their armored foes down. While the Forn were some of the most experienced mercenaries in the galaxy, they were quickly overcome. And in seconds it was over. The three lay dead while the others began stripping their bodies of anything useful. One of them removed his helmet and pulled out a water bottle and drank deeply. Karyn smiled and told the Grekah to stand down.
The redheaded man put the bottle down and stooped to resume his scavenging when a voice called out his name from the rocks surrounding them. His friends immediately leapt for cover, but he just stood, smiling.
"Hey Red!" One of them whispered horsely. "What's wrong with you? Get under cover!"
"Come on out guys. They're friends," He said reassuringly.
"How the hell do you know that?"
"Because I know that voice. Took you long enough, Miss Karyn!"
"Well, it didn't take long to find you Zind Ferush," The raven haired woman said as she stepped from cover. "Let's get you and your friends away from here. Our forces are about ten minutes away."
Eleven minutes later, Zind was standing before Stefan, his three friends with the medics recieving first aid. He was telling them about the security set up the Forn had. Where they were bunked, where the command center was located.
"But you must be careful about taking out the command center," Zind warned them. "That's where they keep their brothel."
"Do they import prostitutes here?" Kaleena asked in a dead tone.
"Of course not!" Zind said angrily. "They use the women that are brought here as slaves. A few of them have had children. And these bastards are raising them to be like them."
"Not if we can help it!" The Grekah chief, Zurgin, said as he walked up. "We're going to liberate those babies, as well as everyone else. Standard rules of surrender apply here?" He asked Stefan.
"No. If you feel it's safe, then take prisoners. But otherwise, don't bother. These are Forn after all," The Grekah and Marko grinned.
"Gonna kill us some Forn!" Marko and Kipper sang as they left.
"There's something else you should know," Ferush went on. "The Trantan planetary governor is being paid off by Czerka. And he has a Victory class Stardestroyer at his command."
"That's ok," Stefan replied with a smile. "We've got some new ships at Three Suns that can make short work of a Victory. And we have three of them here for your recue. Now go join your friends while we take this scum down. Sit back and have something to eat."
Zurgin raised his gauntlet blaster, and fired three shots at a fleeing merc. Two of the rounds hit him square in the back, throwing him off his feet. The energy from the bolts were absorbed by the Madalorian Iron. The red skinned Forn then struggleded to his feet, only to have another blaster round hit the back of his neck. He dropped like a stone, dead.
"Boys," He said with a chuckle. "I really love these gauntlet blasters the bosses had made for us."
"You aint lyin', Chief," Mordin said as he shot a Rodian. "They're powerful too. I took out a jet bike with one shot. Blew up real pretty. So did the rider."
The Grekah were scanning about, looking for targets when Zurgin saw him. What appeared to be a human in beat up old Beskargam. Zurgin signalled that he was to make this kill. With a leap, he landed in the Mandalorian's path. With a mighty swing of his arm, the elder Grekah punched him in the chest, sending him flying backwards, dying as his internal organs were ruptured. Barga had jumped to the top of one of the walls and roared to the sky.
"Ok everybody, listen up," Stefan said over the comlinks. "That's all of them. We even managed to catch us a couple of Czerka corporate executives. Eye in the sky, did any escape?"
"Yes," A voice in an attack craft replied. "Two have taken off to the south west on foot."
"We have them!" Zurgin said as he signalled his nine men to assemble. "They are the ones we need, sir."
"They are your's then. Happy hunting," The Grekah all dropped to one knee and listed off their kills. When they were done, they howled at the sky.
"One more lads!" Zurgin said excitedly. "One of those two represents 22,315. That was how many of our people they massacred all those years ago at the behest of their Sith masters. And that will be how many of them we will kill. After that will come the time of Vengeance. That is when we will kill 22,315 more."
"I doubt that there more than a few dozen of them left," Mordin said grinning.
"I can be content with the extinction of the Forn," Their leader said.
"Are you boys having a prayer meeting?" Their employer Forrest Payne said jokingly over their comlinks. "Or are you going to go find these last two?"
"Oh, we will get those last two, sir. Don't you worry. Let's go find these two, lads!" The ten Grekah silently ran and leapt in the moons low gravity. They were hunting now.
Zurgin crept between the mounds of junk accumulated by the Czerka mining operation on the moon of Tranta. The waste he saw made the elder shake his head. How could Czerka stay in business when they ran their operations like this? It's was one of the Galaxies greatest mysteries.
Then Zurgin heard it. The sound of a swoop bike was coming his way. Finally! They'll have the last two Forn scum. And he was determined to make sure that the kills were his! Lifting his blaster gauntlet, he waited until they appeared a couple of kilometers up the road. He tracked them until he was sure he had the shot, then squeezed the trigger.
Nothing! Glancing at the readout, he saw that the weapon still had three quarters of a charge. With a grin, he hefted a rock the size of a man's head and hurled it with all the force his mighty arm could muster. He watched as the stone arced through the air to smash into the swoop. The vehicle lost power and slowed drastically before it plowed into the ground, it and it's passengers skidding over the dirt.
When the dust cleared, a Human in green Beskargam lay writhing on the ground, while the other, in white, sat stunned, pulling his helmet off. Zurgin jumped the twenty feet separating them to land behind them. Reaching down, he wrapped his fingers around the head of the man in white armor.
"Don't go anywhere," He told him as the Mandalorian weakly struggled.
"Heeey, Chief!" Barga shouted from across the field of debris. "Congratulations on getting the last two."
Zurgin grinned and raised his left leg and brought his armored boot down, crushing the writhing Merc's body. He then lifted the last man and whispered in his ear.
"You're last kid. Looks like there'll be no one to sing songs for you," With a jerk, he snapped his neck. Having dispatched him, he flung the corpse aside.
With a roar to the sky, Zurgin pounded his fists on his chest once. "For our ancestors!" Barga, and Mordin did the same. Zurgin called Stefan and told him the hunt was finished.
"Very good. We'll see you when you get back then."
"We'll be there in a few minutes," The Grekah cut the connection and began to sing a dirge for their dead kin.
