Description

Old East German government building. These relics are still EVERYWHERE in Berlin. The difference between West and East is still stark if you explore.

It sure shows how much government there was in the east. I saw them, too, when in Berlin some 10 years ago. But, they may have found a use for them, like cheap housing. Hopefully that type of control is a thing of the past. :-)

Great shot. It is better now, but as you said, one still can tell the difference. On the good side though, former East Germany (outside Berlin) has more wild life and it is not unusual that little villages still have a stork nesting on some chimney, something I remember as a kid, but one doesn't see much in the former BDR.
