Description

Quick question for you ... You are waiting at the front of the line for the traffic lights to change and this little purple car pulls up beside you, Would you (A) Roll down your window and politely say "Nice car" or (B) would you like a hoon rev your engine hard in the hope of getting to race my little purple car ? lol. This car is a great freebie (by Dryjack) and was a bit of a challenge to put a engine in ... But what sort of engine was I trying to put in it ? and did I succeed ? I could have easily just put a big set of wheels on it and stuck a big fake exhaust on it and re-painted it but that would be cheating my viewers, So as usual I have spent a day and a half doing a full inside and not so much outside re-build, My goal was to leave the outside un-touched and put all new mechanicals hidden inside, It looks like a true street sleeper and was so much fun to do. Thank-you for comments on previous pictures ... *replying* ... Yes it was your 65 GTO that triggered my memory and caused me to spend hour after hour to do a 65 GTO picture or two lol, And yes I am thinking of doing Rat Fink (Ed Roth) type of pictures in 3D they are some of the coolest and craziest style of pictures and thank-you to everone who is taking the time to view my pictures and comment, It is nice to know what others are thinking when they are viewing. Thank-you for viewing this picture and I do have more pictures of this little purple car to come, It is 90% finished. ps just one thing I discovered today by accident, If you are trying to make your own texture maps for cars then bigger is better, I am just learning and it is still trial and error, But my drawing program imported this template at 1024 x 1024 px and when I tried to render it was blurry, So I changed it to 2000 x 2000 px and it is clearer, It may work for you I hope it does, I am not sure what size I can do in my draw program and I saved it as PNG, not jpg, Good-luck.

the small cars can be looked down on from friends of huge V8's , but at the drag strip many small cars walk all over the larger ones.

the former manager of big oval race track racing in Texas had a Mazda rotary and he would run on the weekends against 200 mph specially built race cars. in the corners the V8's would be eating his burnt rubber, but they would pass on the straights. I had got some awesome shots of him coming into the corners, but someone robbed my rolls of negatives

superb modeling on this bad A** ride

Woody! First, it was worth the effort, excellent work. To answer, it would depend what I'm driving. My sleeper story is my bro's '72 Chevelle. Faded blue paint, ripped vinyl top and a cam so knarly it sounded like it'd die anytime at idle. However the 350bb bored and supercharged with a 4:10 ratio rear end meant 0-60 in about 4 and a lot of surprised would be competitors. Your perfectly right about resolution on UV maps

I'd say nice car. My sister had one of these as a first car and it was a lot of fun to drive.
