Description

Street legal tyres are now fitted to my street sleeper so that is one less ticket the law can write me lol, I thought I had 90 % of this little car done ... Until ... Last night rendering it, There are still so many details I want to clean up before up-loading more pictures, I have so many ideas in my head that I want to try, But I must learn patience and complete this project to it's best finish. I love all engines, Big or small and regardless of the number of spark plugs fitted or the noise they make, I have had 4 cyl turbo motors that have put V8's to shame, I have had 6 cyl engines that have breathed fire from the exhaust and I have had V8's that will throw you out the back window at launch if you are not properly strapped in lol, But I do not look down upon anyones choice of engine, I have not had a Rotary engine but I know now they can be very fast and hopefully more reliable, I know a few people that use to love them and spend big dollars on them, But there was a problem with the motor blowing seals, I am not sure what seals but a friend of mine had a rotary that he use to punish and it did the seals, It just meant we had to roll start the car to go anywhere lol, Ceramic seals were a possible cure for this problem I believe, But it is not my area of expertise. I now have ANNON TIFF plates for the car, I had to use ANON TIFF until the other plates became available lol, I did not think I could fit that many letters on the plate ... it did not have anything to do with too many late nights (2am finishes) and the lack of a higher education *blushing* Thank-you for viewing again and I do love the feedback or comments on my pictures, Thanks and more to come soon. ps remember this little car is a freebie by DryJack

I have the car in my runtime. I was just watching youtube rotary powered drag cars down under in the land of Aussies doing a quarter in under 8 seconds and around 185mph

superb modeling. I hope you did not take offense from my comment yesterday

blushing No offense from your comment I understand what you were saying and it is true that some people have a strong view or loyality to a car brand or engine type, It just reminded me of 2 funny stories that happened to me, The first was in my 4cyl Datsun 1600 turbo car and a long time V8 driver had actually stepped out onto the road to stop me as I was hanging laps around our local lake, He knew the noise of my car was differant and wanted to look under the bonnet lol, He then spent the next 10/15 minutes telling me about his V8 car he had been restoring for many years and had just finished, When I showed him the FJ 20 Fuel injected turbo motor he was amazed that it fitted into that small engine bay and then he asked if I could take him for a ride, Sure why not lol, As we entered the main road from the car park I put my foot flat to the floor and instantly started spinning the rear tyres lol, I continued spinning the tyres through 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear lol ( I didn't need the 5th gear), We might have been doing well over 100 kmph (100 mph by the speedo) in a 40 kmph zone wheel spinning and then I turned around and took him back to where he was working, He said that was (Censored) amazing and he had to admit it would put his V8 to shame, The second funny story was I had a Go-kart, it was a 125 electric start water cooled Rotax and I took it to the drags with me and they actually let me race it, My times over the 1/8th mile were quicker than guys who had the latest V8 Holden Commodores at the time worth 50 or 60 thousand dollars and didn't all their mates let them know it.

I was going to try and squeeze a V8 into this little car and still might lol, But I thought it would be nice to try a differant motor than what might be expected, Please keep commenting it is great to hear differant views, stories and ideas and those turbo rotary cars are insane, You should be next to them when they are idiling it shakes your whole spine, Thank-you and You-tube is so addictive as I have just discovered. 😊

You have a great talent for modelling, Love your vehicular attitude. I'm game if it's got 4 or more tires. My 2nd car was a Datsun! A 280zx for 10yrs and 400,000 kms of adventures. Corner on rails and run at 220kph forever. Loved it, miss it. Those cars handled so good you could get the tires spinning in 5th at 100kph on ice, on the camber of the right curb lane and hold a straight line. I'm on my fifth Nissan and dream of a "70 240 and a shiny new 370 in my garage one day.

A 500 Abarth would be a joy to own too. I know what you mean about engines, I've spent most of my working life repairing them and love all types.
