Description
The primitive castle is the former (old) residence of Kings de Navarre, property of King Henri IV. He (it) was built by Amanieu VII d' Albret on a rocky bench. He (it) included in his (its) surrounding wal l (speaker) the medieval clod of the xie century preceded by a vast court (yard) from which bulwarks protected the village.
In the XVII e century, the building undergoes an important reorganization. The medieval castle is then transformed into castle of sailing and splendor. In 1583, Henri IV put under house arrest in Cazeneuve his wife, Queen Margot, during their separation and awaiting the cancellation of their marriage.

Ah, here comes a bit of the French history. Very impressive construction. So, king of Navarre. A well known family. But I didn't know the name of their castle. King Henri IV must have been influenced by England's Henry the 8th and his divorces. Keep up the good work! :-)
