Description
The abbey Saint Vincent de Nieul-sur-l'Autise was based(established) in 1068 by Ayraud Gadessenier, Lord of Vouvant. She(it) welcomed initially a community of regular canons of saint Augustin belonging in congregations of génovéfains. They are in charge of cleaning up the swamp from Poitou.

So, the abbey came first, then the church (if I have understood correctly). I see the wall of the abbey is supported by butresses. This makes me wonder what it looks like inside (several storeys, or one high, huge room?). Keep up the good work. :-)
