Hi and welcome all. My real name is James Thornton. I'm just some boring guy in a dead end job trying to create art in this digital media of 1's and 0's....vertices and polygons....splines and nurbs. I just hope when people veiw my art that they contemplate how it was created and what was the motivation i was feeling for that particular image.
BIO
Ok, this is where i ramble on about my experience in this media and such. So, i will start by telling you the programs i use....poser4....vue d'espirit....cinema 4d.....rhino3d....3d studio max.....bryce5....deeppaint3d.....adobe photoshop7....paintshop pro7....along with a variety of utility programs. I have been working in 3d now for about 3 years. Started out just confused and figuring i would never get it. But i was hooked from day one and am now a full fledged addict. I consider myself a late bloomer since i am 37 years old. But, my imagination is fresh and young:)

Calm and peaceful...very nice!

This is extremely well done. I especially love the partially submerged tree in the water and how it reflects. This is a peaceful, bucolic scene, and it was well worth the render time.

Wonderful! Vue gets slow when I get around 7,000,000 polygons, I would hate to see what would happen if I tried to make a scene this complex.

thank all of you for the great comments:) in reguard to the comment from lilzeek....i am running a sytem with a 1.7gig processor amd athalon with 512megs of ram and a 100 gig hard drive. the last time i looked at poly count it was something around 350,000,000. i found that when it begins slowing down as your creating to start on a new layer and disable the veiwing of the other layers....helps speed things up:)
