Description
We came across this Cheetah female early one morning at one of the boreholes close to our camp. She was very skittish and eventually had a very small drink of water. She then wondered off to the far side of the waterhole. I remembered that there were a small road on that side and we slowly made our way to the other side of the waterhole where we found her lying down in the road, very relaxed. We spent about an hour with her until another car came around after which she got up and just disappeared in the tall grass.
It was a very exciting sighting and I will definitely post more images of her too!

such an outstanding and beautiful capture of this feline. did you hear of the hunter in Africa being hunted by his prey and they killed him. I can not understand why people want to kill such animals knowing they are on the decline

Lucky you! On my photo safari we found a cheetah and her two cubs but they were rushing towards some tall grass so we couldn't get a decent picture. A few minutes later we came across a pride of lions. I'm sure you've heard what lions do to cheetah cubs. Great work on the 600mm.
