Description
A seasonal picture before we move into spring... This is pretty much what most of Britain has looked like over the past few days, but unfortunately Britain was a lot less placid, as a bit of snow seems to have disrupted everything. It's a reminder of how much we rely on cars, trains, etc. now, whereas we were more in touch with nature years ago and rushed about less, and all we needed was a good pair of boots and our feet. What an outstanding image! I love the almost painterly feel :) Those trees made me smile & took me back (I really appreciate the nest/clump up high in the branches on that tree on the right).... and that SKY -- I have seen that on my walks and out my window countless times - just perfect, then lastly you managed to keep the light levels taut throughout the image. An instant favorite, and again, just outstanding!

Many thanks for all the kind comments. The nest in the tree is actually a clump of mistletoe - I forget the vendor but it was someone on the now-missing Cornucopia site. I was trying to think of how to make a birds nest without too much trouble, then I thought of the mistletoe, and in low light it does the job very well, so added value on that purchase!
