Description
The half-pyramidal building, shown at the forefront, is used for assembling various engine parts and as a large workshop facility. This building was initially used for separating iridium minerals from the rock that was extracted underground. At the distance, under an inverted "V" structure, are test wells for propulsion engines. These wells were initially built for lifting broken rocks that contained iridium at a depth of about 1300 meters below, at the center of the crater. The strip connecting the forefront building and the wells was part of the base of a conveyor belt that transported the broken rocks toward the large building. The soil of that place is very unstable, this is why the building is far from the wells. A Vautour aircraft can be seen near the large building. Buildings there are pyramidal somewhat, because tornadoes (or strong dust devils) are sometimes passing over that area.
